About the Cope Collection Line

The Cope Collection was named for Leslie and Velma Cope.  Leslie and his father Sydney designed pottery for the Nelson McCoy Pottery Company.  The pieces that comprise the Cope Collection are generally the original models that were designed to make the molds for the production line.  These often one of a kind models were later hand decorated by both Sydney and Lesile.

The result of this collection shows the many colors, decorations and designs that various pieces could have come in, as opposed to the actual production finishes that were used.

NOTE: We have amassed a collection of images of many of the known Cope Collection Line pieces below, however we are always looking for more. If you know of one that is not listed, please let us know by contacting us at webmaster@mccoypottery.com
