About the Floraline Line

Floraline started June 9th, 1960. At the time Nelson McCoy was looking for an economical line of pottery that could be sold directly to individual florist shops. In fact the name "Floraline" was named for this purpose. The idea was to create  a simple form with classic lines with solid eye pleasing colors that could accentuate the floral designs that would be placed in them rather than detract from them.

The line was inexpensive and simple to produce. In fact any McCoy employee knew the line and could make it with a minimal amount of loss, unlike cookie jars and more complicated designs.

NOTE: We have amassed a collection of images of many of the known Floraline Line pieces below, however we are always looking for more. If you know of one that is not listed, please let us know by contacting us at webmaster@mccoypottery.com
