I have two pieces of McCoy pottery I would like to know more about.
One is a light green swan vase about 9 inches high with McCoy USA on
the bottom. There is a small chip on the lip of the vase. The other
is a bud vase, I think, with three lilies pushing up through a base
of dark green leaves on a 'wood' base. It stands about 6 inches high.
It is in excellent condition. I would like to know the approximate
year they were made and a 'ball' figure on their value.

I have loved McCoy Pottery for years. I only have a few pieces in my
collection, just recently I have started looking again for pieces to
add to my collection. I am especially interested in adding some of
the Butterfly Pottery pieces. It is great and exciting to know there
is on online connection to McCoy Pottery.

I started collecting 1 1/2 years ago. I collect animal planters and
anything to do with grapes, since I work for a wine company. I get
most of my pieces from flea markets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I
am looking for the Real McCoy series of books by Pamela Coates that
are out of print. Any help would be appreciated.
Collect Mccoy,,and am trying to find out about the artists who worked
for Brush. Have a small off white bowl with brown butterflys that is
initialed by the artist.. can anyone please send me in the right
direction...?
I had collected a couple McCoy pieces years back, but just recieved a
very interesting piece that I am having trouble finding any
information on. I believe it is a planter. It is a black carriage
with working yellow wagon wheels and a yellow umbrella.
I am not a collector but I have a friend that collects and her
husband would like to buy a t-shirt and I can not locate a phone
number to order from the store

I have been a McCoy collector for over 20 years. I have collected
over 500 pieces. If you are interested in certain old pieces let me
know,I might be willing to sell. I'm amazed at how many other people
are interested in collecting McCoy. For so long I felt like I was the
only person interested in collecting old pottery. I collected my
first piece from my grandmother's abandoned house. It all started
with one little violet pot. It has been quite a hunt for my family
and I to find McCoy in good condition and for a good price. It's even
better when they don't know what they are selling for so
cheap.

I just purchased what I think is a MCCOY planter. Somewhere I read
that your older pottery had an almost undistinguishable mark. This
was due to a glazing problem. The mark on my planter has a squigly
"M" with other unidentifiable letters and the number 773 and U.S.A.
The color is dark green, high shine, and the planter is shaped like
two rectangles that intersect. I am so curious to know if this is a
MCCOY piece. Oh, the planter is small. It measures 7.5"L x 4.1/4"W x
2.1/4" deep. I would like to know anything you can tell me about this
planter. Sincerest Thanks, Wanda McKinnie
I have just recieved a McCoy teapot # 163 also a saucer # 1052. They
are a set, dark brown glase with a cream color as a accent. Can you
tell me anything about these pieces? They look brand new.
I have a modest collection consisting mostly of planters and a few
cookie jars. Most of my pieces have been found at garage sales,
estate auctions and flea markets. Luckily I usually only pay under $5
for each piece. (one planter was 50 cents) That is the biggest thrill
for me. Getting them cheap!
I, of course, love McCoy. I have been collecting for about 5 years. I
enjoy most fruit items, planters, wallpockets or cookie jars. I also
like flower pots. One of my favorite things to do is to hunt for
McCoy.

I have a white matte finished lamp, which I was told was McCoy. I
haven't seen it in any books. It has a slight deco look with flowers
on the front. It is about 14 inches high. When I bought the lamp, I
was told that it was McCoy, although unmarked, and that it was made
at the pottery plant for the workers; not to be sold to the public.
It looks similar to Walter Bauers work. Does anyone know of lamps
that may have been made in the 1930's? Thanks, Eric

Hi. My mom collects McCoy pottery. She has an awful lot of it. She
and my dad are always looking for more. I think it's okay but I like
cat toys myself. There is this really cool monthly collectors
newsletter called the NMXpress. It is dedicated to McCoy pottery and
its collectors. It is a great place to find fellow collectors,
interesting McCoy pottery facts and great classifieds. If you have
information to share you could even send an article to the editor and
get it printed. It's fun and informative for all McCoy collectors.
Well have fun collecting and try to see if you can't find a copy of
the NMXpress.

I have LOVED McCoy Pottery for over 35 years. My Grandmom gave me my
first, the frog and turtle planters, since then I have lost count.
Numbers in the hunderds.I also can't remember which ones I have
because most are stored, I display them, buy more, must make room to
display the new ones, so I pack some away. That is how I forget what
I have. I pay a little more than when I started But you can still
find some bargains if you just look.

MY GRANDFATHER WAS SYDNEY COPE, THE DESIGNER FOR MCCOY POTTERY FROM
THE EARLY 1930'S TILL HIS DEATH IN 1960. HIS SON (MY UNCLE), LESLIE
COPE, WAS A DESIGNER FOR THE POTTERY DURING THE SAME PERIOD AND,IN

1966 WHEN HE QUIT THE POTTERY TO DEVOTE HIS TIME FULLY TO HIS TRUE
PASSION: PAINTING.I LIVED WITH MY GRANDPARENTS AND UNCLE LESLIE FROM
1955 (WHEN I WAS BORN) TILL 1960 WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO GO TO

My Husband and I have collected Antiques for about eight years. He
also enjoys recreating Antique furniture and seems to be very good at
this. We have been looking for price list for our collection of McCoy
pottery that we have collected over the years. I just found this site
and was wondering if anyone could help us. We would truely appreciate
the assistance.
I am searching rather urgently for information on a cookie jar
stamped McCoy. It is Little Red Riding Hood so I know its not made by
McCoy but this little red riding hood is black. I have searched
through every Hull and Regal site I can find and although she looks
like them I cant find another black one anywhere. Does anyone have
any information on this?
I HAVE AUNT WHO COLLECTS AND LOVES THE POTTERY AND IT IS ALSO MY
MOM'S AND MY AUNT'S MAIDEN NAME...I HAVE BEGAN TO COLLECT AND VERY
INTERESTED IN POTTERY
I have been collecting McCoy for about 6 years and have about 50
pieces, mostly planters and some of the older vases from the 1930s. I
don't get to some of the big antiques shows around here to see what
is available, I mosty hit the local shops. It is getting harder all
the time to find good pieces around this area. I agree that the best
pieces are the ones that are found at estate or garage sales and they
have no idea what it is and it can be had for a song. I have bought
several pieces of Nelson-McCoy this way as the mark is not very deep
on the bottom and they don't see it. I used to buy everthing that I
saw, but now I just try to go for what I like, unless it is a steal.
The prices here seem to be higher than in the East or Mid-West.
Another problem that I have is having room to display all of my
pieces. I am having the same problem with my collection of Bauer
mixing bowls. Our place was built in 1948 and so all the pieces from
the 30s and 40s look really great displayed around the house. My
advice to new collectors is to get all the reference books available
and study, study, study. There are alot of dealers out there that do
not know what they have and that is where doing your homework comes
in handy!
I collect cookie jars and would like to hear from other collectors,
or sales people.

Just getting into this communication thing. I was given a McCoy

Hi, I am so excited to find this site! Both my myself and my mother

enough I found out that I've had an unmarked McCoy piggy bank for
years!!! I was my grandfathers and handed down to me several years

painted flowers. I believe it to be in very good condition. I would
never part with it because its part of my heritage, but I am
certianly interested in knowing if anyone has any information about
it please e-mail me. Age? Value? Thanks

I found some planters in the garage of the house we purchased at a
public auction. I thought it was interesting that the pieces had
McCoy USA on the bottom. Not much around anymore with USA on. While
in the auction section of my computer, looking for more Princess
House crystal, I just happened to see McCoy Pottery. It made me
curious so I searched the web and found your site. I was so excited
to see the History as my husband thinks these planters are junk! My
only concern is the low prices people are asking for on the auction
section. Is McCoy junk or aren't there enough collectors
around?

I think this site is great. I have a piece of Mccoy's pottery I
aquired from my grandmother. I have researched and can find nothing
on it. It resembles a coffee pot, with no side handle.(one you warm
on the stove)It is glossy brown in color and has a hammered look
texture. It stands aboutn 11 inches high and has a removable lid. The
lid has a handle and a knob. The mark is from 1936 to present. Would
